Mike Simmons

Mike is an operations specialist, having spent over 20 years with S.G. Warburg group. Here, holding positions such as Head of Eurobond Settlements and Head of Operations, he specialized in debt and equity operations with day-to-day management responsibility across both domestic and international markets.

Mike has also worked as a Senior Business Analyst assessing a broad range of operations business requirements for investment banks, asset managers and retail banks in the UK, US and mainland Europe. He has also been involved with the offshoring of operations functions to India, and the assessment of risk in operations and the implementation of controls. In the last 12 years, Mike has delivered hundreds of courses in numerous countries to investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, hedge fund administrators, consulting companies and software companies. Mike is also the author of two operations books: Securities Operations and Corporate Actions.
Mike is the author of two published books:

• Securities Operations; a Guide to Trade and Position Management*, which covers all major aspects of securities operations activity; current sales are in excess of 9000 copies, and
• Corporate Actions; a Guide to Securities Event Management** (published in January 2006).
