James Cronin BSc PGDL LLM
Having completed his first degree in 1991, James continued his studies by taking a Postgraduate Diploma In Law in 1992. On completion of the Diploma, James began work as a legal adviser to two Members of Parliament and was based in the House of Commons for several years. During this time he was responsible for the management of constituency legal affairs, and produced several legal research papers. The position also involved writing speeches for MP’s and drafting Ministerial questions. Subsequently, James became a lecturer at University where he taught law for six years to degree level, (including Business law, Tort and Contract law) with brief spells teaching at the University of Nice. In 1997 James took a Masters degree in Law at the Graduate School of Law at the University of Leicester, which included specific research on the European Convention On Human Rights.
James is now involved full time in the provision of training and consultancy on employment law, performance management and related issues. He has specialised in employment law throughout the UK and has been widely published on the subject. He is particularly interested in performance management and using the law as a tool to achieve growth in both public and private sectors. James has trained and provided consultancy at Board level of many household names as well as public sector organisations.
